We have both been working a lot and it's hot. I suppose many of you could say the same thing.
Yesterday I was driving the tram back and forth from the campground to Carowinds and chatting with a passenger. I told him that my husband and I were full time RVers and he said "Oh, are you retired military or something?" My reply: "Nope, just idiots with a dream."
We are coming up on one year since our adventure started. The time has gone very quickly.
We've learned a great deal about ourselves, each other, and this lifestyle. All have been good lessons, some just went down a little easier than others.
Other things we've learned:
- We need to be patient and wait for the opportunities and jobs that seem right for us rather than simply taking the first thing that comes along.
- After our three months at the Statesville KOA where we just did the guardhouse in the mornings, we've realized we each need more stimulation and interaction with others and we need to earn a paycheck each month, not just working for our site.
- Good wifi is more important than cable.
I'll add to this list as I think of things. :)
Hard to believe it's been almost year. I definitely would choose internet access over TV any day! - Robin
